- Excessive body fat that often results in serious health problems
- Independent risk factor or aggravating agent for at least 30 common health conditions
- Can lead to significant medical, psychological, social, physical and economic impacts
What is Morbid Obesity?
Clinically severe obesity at which point serious medical conditions occur as a direct result of the obesity
Defined as
- -> 200% of ideal weight,
- -> 40kg overweight, or a
- - Body mass index of = 40
